Gather your friends, collect eggs and get ready to play through the events of Stranger Things' third season of your Nintendo Switch from July.
Stranger Things 3: the game was on the display broadcast today on Nindies Direct and finally announced as a concrete release date on July 4th. This announcement had already been revealed at the 2018 Game Awards in December – and was to appear on "all platforms," including the Nintendo Switch. when that would happen.
At the time, there were very few additional details available on the latest installment of the Stranger Things video game series, apart from a short trailer describing 16-bit arcade-style graphics. Apart from the isometric orientation, the game's appearance is similar to that of Stranger Things: The Game's original title, based on the first season of the series.
However, we now know that the game – developed by BonusXP, in partnership with Netflix – will allow you to play as 12 different main characters in the series, venturing into many events of the coming season and even using the complete local cooperation (the Bread and Butter Switch).
The convergence of television and video games seems to be a major goal of Netflix recently – with the availability of content such as Bandersnatch and Minecraft: Fashion History – and the fans definitely seem to participate in these immersive experiences. Playing through the new season of Stranger Things on your Switch while simultaneously watching the episodes will certainly appeal to many fans looking for a multi-faceted experience.
