From support for a breakthrough in Bitcoin ETFs to the imminent sale of Tron chips, here are some of the stories that have broken out in the world of crypto.
Bitcoin
Brian Kelly, Bitcoin and Crypto-Bull, believes that any Bitcoin ETF proposal must be approved in 2019. The founder and CEO of Crypto BKCM investment company told CoinTelegraph that he was convinced that the Bitcoin futures market was not advanced enough less than a year before the approval of an exchange-traded fund.
As for the crypto market as a whole, Kelly claims that bitcoin is at or near the minimum level, and he expects the market to recover this year.
"In 2019, the focus will probably be on the currencies – Bitcoin, Litecoin, and some of them – because the geopolitical tension in the world is quite tense. We are starting to see that some global macroeconomic players are using Bitcoin as an alternative to their position on gold, or as a way to protect themselves against fiat currency fluctuations and volatility. "
Ripple and XRP
Ripple has partnered with Tsinghua University to launch a scholarship program for graduates in China. According to Crowdfund Insider, the program will focus on the operation of blockchain technology and the current state of regulation in the country.
Meanwhile, Ripple and his supporter of XRP, Hodor, have released a comprehensive overview of the current state of XRP, covering adoption, usage case statistics, performance statistics, and more.

IOTA
IOTA has just released an update on its progress with the new Trinity mobile wallet. The development is still in the alpha phase, after receiving a lot of support from the community after its beta phase.
"Trinity was released on the mobile beta release in late May and the desktop beta release in late August 2018. The code base was open source with the release of the desktop beta.
Since then, we've had an overwhelming response, with 10,000 active iOS users, 20,000 installations on active Android devices and more than 80,000 desktop downloads on all versions. More than 740,000 transactions were sent with Trinity, with a staggering total transaction value of about 2.7 Peta IOTA (ie the total offer of tokens). In addition, we now have hardware support with the implementation of the community team for Ledger Nano S. "
