Brian Kelly says Bitcoin (BTC) is heading for records – Ripple and XRP, Tron, Ethereum, Litecoin, Stellar, Cardano

From the optimistic view of Bitcoin to the big BitTorrent update from Tron, here are some of the stories that are emerging in the world of cryptography.

Bitcoin

CNBC contributor Brian Kelly said Bitcoin was heading to new heights of all time.

The founder and CEO of Cryptographic Investment Company BKCM is confident that this will happen over the next two years.

"Without a doubt – this next cycle. You are probably talking about a two-year cycle. By 2020, the supply of Bitcoin will be halved. The Bitcoin cycle is usually about a year to a year after. So in that two-year period, you will probably get that big increase, especially if the institutions come in, and I think we're going above the all-time highs.

Kelly highlights the active activity of Bitcoin's portfolio and institutional investors, two key indicators showing that Bitcoin has already reached a floor.

"I think there's a good chance that the December lows we saw in the $ 3,000 are probably the lowest in this cycle. There are a few things that are happening. You have seen an improvement in fundamentals. You are looking at the active addresses. This is one of the big things I'm looking at. This represents a 26% increase over January lows. You look at the transaction levels. These have returned to 2017 levels, so there is a lot of network activity.

Then you look who buys that. You see people like Fidelity still deploying their institutional platform. And then, as a proxy, look at the future CME Bitcoin. Large holders of open interests. So, these are great institutions, they are unprecedented highs. And that continues to grow. Last week, they saw a record volume of futures on CME Bitcoin. So you start to see institutional investors come here with a good back wind. And Bitcoin is back on the hot seat. "

Ripple and XRP

The ripple is planning the mechanics of its payment solution based on XRP xRapid. The company says the platform can allow banks and financial institutions to save up to 70% on usual cross-border fees.

The software solution uses XRP as a bridge badet, allowing companies to quickly convert the fiat into XRP and send it to another country, where it is then converted back into fiat. The entire process is designed to complete a transaction in minutes.

Ethereum

Ethhub.io developer Eric Conner calls for more transparency from the Ethereum Foundation.

Conner requests that basic data be published quarterly, including average salaries, number of people, and the overall organizational structure of the Foundation.

One of the most common concerns I see nowadays is EF transparency. It's an easy question and I think the following would be published enough every three months:

total workforce
– organizational structure or high-level team
salary – by team or role type
expected annual burn rate

Tron

Tron's file sharing platform, BitTorrent, has released a new video. It explains in detail how the platform will integrate the Tron-based BTT token to reward users of the platform.

Stellar

The Stellar team shares an overview of how XLM memos work. This feature allows users to add a note to their transactions, which can help traders keep track of a particular user's balance.

I've seen a lot of questions regarding memos and their use in exchanges such as Coinbase, so I've created a guide to address them.
