BRICS countries sign environmental agreement

The environment ministers of Brazil, Russia, India, China and South Africa signed a memorandum of understanding on environmental cooperation at the 10th BRICS Summit.

<p>  The implementation of the protocol of agreement will be coordinated by regular meetings of the BRICS States and the BRICS Joint Working Group on the environment. </p>
<p> "This integrates the exchange of experiences and information in the main areas of cooperation, including the development of regulatory and methodological documents. </p>
<p> " States will also collaborate in research capacity building and training, organizing symposia, conferences and workshops, and developing joint programs and projects to demonstrate the best achievements, practices and technologies in the environmental fields. With regard to the Memorandum of Understanding, participants will conclude additional agreements or arrangements to ensure the effective implementation of the cooperation on the environment. </p>
<p>  The memorandum of understanding was signed on Thursday, July 26 at the BRICS summit, organized by President Cyril Ramaphosa in Johannesburg. The summit was held under the BRICS theme in Africa: "Collaboration for Inclusive Growth and Shared Prosperity in the Fourth Industrial Revolution". </p>
