These striking images show the red arrows of the United Kingdom flying in formation with the Boeing 747 of British Airways wearing the colors of BOAC at the Royal International Air Tattoo Saturday.
Flight BA100 directed the air tattoo display and was flanked by nine Hawk jets belonging to the Royal Air Force aerobatic team.

The Boeing 747 Special was painted in the colors of its predecessor, BOAC, on the centenary of the company this year.
The first senior officer, Tom Perrins, was in command, while Captain Richard Allen-Williams commanded the aircraft. Captains Simon Scholey and Jonny Lutton joined them on the flight deck.

Julia Lowes, cabin crew member, whose brother, Captain Dan Lowes, is Red 9.
"I only joined British Airways four months ago and it's Dan's last year flying in the Reds so the timing could not be more perfect," Lowes said.
"Dan and I both had the career of our dreams, but I never imagined flying together. It was fantastic to see Dan in action since the BOAC plane.
"Aviation is a family business because our father was 747 captain and our younger brother is first officer."
Captain Allen-Williams said he hoped that the BoAC livery delivered his Boeing747 would provide "a wonderfully nostalgic moment" to the Air Tattoo audience.
The airline has long been in the Air Tattoo and joined the flight program in 1985 when Concorde and the Red Arrows flew together in a spectacular show.
In the early 2000s, several British Airways 747 and 777 flew over. In 2013, the airline again played with the Red Arrows, to the delight of the crowd of great tattoo artists.
