Bringing the fear of the Lord back to the Church – Pastors have told

Accra, April 19, GNA –
Apostle Enoch Osafo, field director of the Apostolic Church of Christ
International (CACI), Good Friday, urged pastors to preach the message
of the Cross without fear or favor to bring back the Fear of the Lord to the
Church.

He said that the church had
become sick and vulnerable today because pastors had abandoned the Message of
the Cross for Prosperity and Motivational Messages, thus making Christians
suffocated in their spiritual growth, some having the conscience burned by
Corruption.

The message of
Cross, he explained, spoke of repentance and salvation; transformation of the mind
things of the world with eternal values; piety with contentment; forgiveness
and reconciliation; to testify to the lost; show love for each other; and
long suffering and endurance, among others.

The Apostle Osafo was
to deliver the sermon at the Easter Convention of the Nii-Okaiman region, in the
CACI.

The five days
The convention, which began on Thursday, has the theme: "Occupy until I
Come ", which is based on the fertility of the Christian, with reference to
Luke 19:13.

The field director
said because the Message of the Cross was barely preached, the life of Christ
did not manifest in the lives of many Christians. Therefore, the
the normalization of secularism and immorality replaced the fear of the Lord
In the church.

"Today, pastors
prepare members to become candidates for visas and jobs, instead of
prepare them for the conquest of the soul and heavenly citizenship, "he said.

"They boast of
their vehicles and other material goods, their eloquence with the word,
their ability to prophesy and other vain things because their hearts are not
circumcised."

"What's even worse, it's
that the sons of magicians have taken over the pulpit and perform all the
types of magical acts, such as giving lotto numbers, sharing money and
"engage in the good fortune".

"Christians have
become slaves to these false prophets because the message is preached as if
persecution is not part of Christianity; but I tell you that the message of the
Cross makes it clear that the persecutions would come to the Christian but God
deliver the righteous of all. "

The Apostle Osafo,
therefore urged Christians to study the word of God earnestly and diligently
in prayer so that they are filled with the power of the Holy Spirit to be
able to testify to others with authority, to heal the sick, to raise the dead and
ultimately inherit the Kingdom of God.

The sermon was
interspersed with thematic songs and closed with prayers to revive the Church.

Evangelist Diane
Asamoah, a member of CACI, treated the rally with some of the songs on
his last album.
