Apostle Enoch Osafo, Field Director of the Apostolic Church of Christ in the World (CACI)
Apostle Enoch Osafo, field director of the International Apostolic Church of Christ (CACI), encouraged Good Shepherds on Good Friday to preach the message of the Cross without fear or favor, in order to bring back the fear of the Lord to the Church.
He said that the Church had become sick and vulnerable today because pastors had abandoned the Message of the Cross for messages of prosperity and motivation, thus making Christians retarded in their spiritual growth, some having conscience burned by corruption.
The message of the cross, he explained, was about repentance and salvation; transforming the spirit of the world's things into eternal values; piety with contentment; forgiveness and reconciliation; to testify to the lost; show love for each other; and long suffering and endurance, among others.
Apostle Osafo delivered the sermon at the CACI Nii-Okaiman Region Easter Convention.
The five-day convention, which began on Thursday, has the theme: "Occupy until I come", which is based on the fertility of the Christian, with reference to Luke 19:13.
The field director stated that the message of the Cross was barely preached, the life of Christ not being manifested in the lives of many Christians, the normalization of secularism and immorality thus replaced the fear of the Lord in the Church.
"Today, pastors are preparing members to apply for visas and jobs, instead of preparing them for citizenship and celestial citizenship," he said.
"They boast of their vehicles and other material goods, their eloquence with speech, their ability to prophesy and other vain things because their hearts are not circumcised."
"What is even worse, is that the sons of magicians took the pulpit and perform all kinds of magical acts, such as giving lotto numbers, sharing money and s & # 39; 39, engage in adventures ".
"Christians have become slaves of these false prophets because the message is preached as if the persecution was not part of Christianity, but I tell you that the message of the cross makes it clear that the persecutions would go to the Christian but that God would deliver the fair. of all. "
The Apostle Osafo therefore urged Christians to study the word of God earnestly and to exercise diligence in prayer so that they are filled with the power of the Holy Spirit to be able to testify with others, heal the sick, resuscitate the dead ultimately inherit the Kingdom of God.
The sermon was interspersed with thematic songs and closed with prayers to revive the Church.
Evangelist Diana Asamoah, a member of CACI, treated some of the songs from her latest album.
