British Airways faces a fine of around US $ 230 million for compromising the confidentiality of the data of around 500,000 people.
The fine would be for a website failure that compromises the details.
The fine would also be the largest to date under the General Data Protection Regulation, better known as the RGPD.
The GDPR came into force last year.
