British Airways is expected to add four additional frequencies on the Mumbai-London Heathrow route as of March 2020 compared to its current two-hour daily schedule. This will increase the number of weekly flights from 14 to 18 flights. Daily flights will be provided by a state-of-the-art 787-9 aircraft with a four-cabin configuration.
British Airways currently operates 49 weekly flights from five Indian cities, with a daily double between Mumbai and Delhi and a daily flight between Chennai, Bangalore and Hyderabad. The Mumbai sector increase will increase British Airways' weekly program from 49 to 56 flights between India and the United Kingdom.
