A British MP was congratulated after revealing in the House of Commons that he was HIV-positive.
Lloyd Russell-Moyle, Labor Opposition, said he wanted to "tell people living with HIV that your status does not define you".
"We can be who we want."
His speech was greeted with rare applause.
He was leading an adjournment debate in the UK's lower house of parliament on HIV and World AIDS Day.
Jeremy Corbyn, leader of the Labor Party, called his speech "brave" and "moving".
