Bruno Fernandes wants the transfer of Man Utd to be completed – and expects that it will happen

Bruno Fernandes is waiting to seal a transfer for Manchester United this summer, according to the latest reports from his native Portugal.

United Ole boss Gunnar Solskjaer targeted Lisbon Sporting's Fernandes to strengthen his midfield, especially with Paul Pogba who seemed more and more eager to move.

And Fernandes is desperate for the movement to happen in this transfer window.

The 24-year-old scored 32 goals in all competitions in 2018-2019, helping to send Sporting Lisbon to the Portuguese Cup, Taca de Portugal and the Portuguese League Cup, the Taca de Liga.

And with such capacity in front of goals, Fernandes would add crucial goal options to United's machine room.

The Portuguese publication Correio da Manha says Fernandes is eager for the transfer to United to occur, and expects it to happen this summer, the Daily Star reports.

According to an Italian publication The Gazzetta dello Sport, The player's agent, Miguel Pinho, is expected to travel to Manchester on Wednesday night to put the finishing touches to his decision.

Fernandes has already agreed to personal terms and a contract of around £ 100,000 a week, but no transfer fee has yet been agreed between the two clubs.

United wants to pay about 32 million pounds sterling for the midfield, but Sporting stands for 70 million pounds, although some reports say they could be influenced by an offer of around 53 million pounds sterling.

Until now, Solskjaer has secured wingman Daniel James of Swansea City and defender Aaron Wan-Bissaka of Crystal Palace. Harry Maguire and Newcastle midfielder Sean Longstaff are in his shoes.

The boss of United hopes to add at least a new face before leaving with his team in Australia to begin their pre-season tour.

United plays his first match against Perth Glory on July 13 before facing his rival Leeds United in the same city four days later.

They will then face Inter Milan in Singapore on July 20 and Tottenham in Shanghai on July 25.
