James Gunn, director of The Suicide Squad, shares a behind-the-scenes image of Idris Elba as Bloodsport and Daniela Melchior as Ratcatcher 2.

James Gunn, the director of the latest DCEU film, The suicide squad, shared a behind-the-scenes look at Idris Elba’s Bloodsport and Daniela Melchior’s Ratcatcher 2. The suicide squad recently released in theaters and on HBO Max. While the film’s box office was disappointing, the film performed very well on HBO Max. Fans were also delighted to see Warner Bros. allowed filmmakers to have more creative freedoms when it comes to DC projects, and The suicide squad is no exception to this.

The suicide squad has been described as a smooth restart of the 2016 Suicide Squad movie. It follows a group of lesser-known DC villains, some of whom are in the original film, but most of whom are new to the DCEU. The main team includes Bloodsport, Ratcatcher 2, Harley Quinn (Margot Robbie), Peacemaker (John Cena), Rick Flag (Joel Kinnaman), King Shark (voiced by Sylvester Stallone) and Polka-Dot Man (David Dastmalchian) among others. In the film’s final act, team members are tasked with taking down the alien Starro, who has been housed in a secret laboratory called Jotunheim on the fictional island of Corto Maltese. The team are pushed to their limits as they attempt to defeat the alien who wants to control everyone on the island by escaping the collapsing lab and saving the city.

Now, James Gunn has shared a behind-the-scenes image from the epic Battle of Jotunheim, which was filmed in Atlanta, Georgia. Photo shows Idris Elba and Daniela Melchior resting on the dust and blood covered plateau of the final battle. Check out Gunn’s post below:

The image is a cool look at the actors in their costumes while resting between scenes. Fans will certainly appreciate the fact that their costumes are very well made and not just created in post-production via CGI. It is certainly difficult to choose a favorite character from the film as there are so many in the cast, but viewers have agreed that Bloodsport and Ratcatcher 2 are ahead.

Luckily for moviegoers, Gunn enjoys sharing behind the scenes of his films and other projects on his social media. The content he posts on these platforms has definitely spread the word about his films while allowing fans to see even more content. For those who want to check out the context of this image with Idris Elba and Daniela Melchior, The suicide squad currently playing in theaters and streaming on HBO Max.
