Many law enforcement agencies were summoned to a Spanish town when a bull with burning horns caught fire and fell into a ravine.
The bull, whose horns were set on fire as part of the Bous Embolado festival, escaped his bullpen during a bull run around 4:30 am, witnesses said.
The animal loaded a man seated on a fence above the Palancia River and eventually fell into the dry bed of the river.
Local officials said the rescue operations included many law enforcement agencies and lasted about nine hours. One person suffered minor injuries.
The bull was subjected to a calming dart administered under the supervision of a veterinarian, police said.
The bovine was not injured and was returned to his pen.
