Huawei has developed its own operating systems for smartphones and computers. This is reported by the South China Morning Post, quoting an interview with Richard Yu with the world. Yu is the head of Huawei's mobile business group, which is responsible for smartphones.

Details on the operating systems, the Chinese manufacturer has not disclosed. There were already rumors in the summer of 2016 that Huawei is working on its own operating system for its smartphones. At that time, a Huawei manager in Shenzhen had badured us that the company was happy with Android and was not planning to use its own system.
This basic attitude does not seem to have changed now. As a spokesman for Huawei said, according to the South China Morning Post, the manufacturer does not expect to have to use the alternatives and does not want to use them.
Huawei's smartphones use Android since the first model, with their own user interface installed. Huawei also recently manufactures laptops shipped with Windows 10. Huawei has also developed an alternative to the Microsoft operating system.
The context is the growing trade conflict between China and the United States. Android and Windows are products of US companies Google and Microsoft, which may be subject to a commercial ban in case of emergency. Chinese manufacturer ZTE has already been hit by sanctions and the company is accused of illegal trade with Iran and North Korea. As a result, ZTE was no longer allowed to buy Qualcomm chips nor to use Android. In the end, the United States and China agreed on the case.
Huawei faces allegations that the United States would install backdoors in its network equipment allowing espionage. According to the BSI (Federal Office of Information Security), there is no evidence of this, but the charges have led several countries to give up Huawei network equipment. On the other hand, other countries have opted for Huawei hardware, especially 5G extension. The Chinese manufacturer is in the United States to prepare a lawsuit against the US government, the manufacturer being blocked without trial.
