"An absolute mess" – badysis
Mani Djazmi, presenter of BBC World Football
We waited about six and a half hours in front of a hotel conference room to make that decision. A Tunisian journalist broadcast a live stream from the closed door while we waited and he was seen by 18,000 people. This shows the importance of this decision.
I think that Hope has been punished for the shortcomings of Caf. I just spoke to one of the members of the CAF Executive Committee who was present at the meeting. He says those responsible for these organizational failures will also be punished.
He said that the decision had been taken unanimously and that something had to be done.
It's a dangerous precedent and an absolute mess. This is the second time in the Continental Cup final that Copa Libertadores in South America, last November, had been postponed as a result of an attack on the Boca Juniors team bus. by supporters of River Plate.
