Abednego Tetteh, a former Ghana striker from Al-Hilal Omdurman, shared some tips on how Asante Kotoko could get the better of the Sudanese club when they play in the group stage.

Both teams are ready for a clash after being rounded up in Group C, which also includes Zambian duo Zesco United and Nkana FC.

Kotoko and Hilal will meet for the first time at the opening of the group on February 3, before the reverse match on March 10.

Publisher's choice

"It will be very difficult for Kotoko to score them at home, but if Kotoko wants to win in Sudan, they have to face Maxwell Baakoh in 10th position and stop using it on the wings," said Tetteh, who played for Hilal between 2016 and 2018, said Ash FM Sports.

"[He should be deployed as a No.10] because of his skillful playing style [and] because their defenders can not handle a player like his type.

"I will also advise Kotoko not to use defensive tactics during his stay in Sudan, otherwise they (Kotoko) will concede more goals.Kotoko should open and play good football, which will give them the victory. .
