Callum Hudson-Odoi has signed a five-year deal worth over £ 100,000 a week to stay in Chelsea.
The 18-year-old English international was tipped to leave Stamford Bridge and even submitted a transfer request in January after the club rejected a £ 35 million offer from Bayern Munich.
However, he is now ready to sign a new contract with his childhood club before the start of the season.
It is understood that Hudson-Odoi is encouraged by the positive words of the new boss of the Blues, Frank Lampard, who made it clear that he wanted the player to stay.
The teenager is currently recovering from an Achilles tendon injury suffered in April, but could resume fighting as early as September.
Game time was thought to be the key issue for Hudson-Odoi throughout the negotiations.
He made 24 appearances for Chelsea last season under Maurizio Sarri, scoring five goals.

However, he did not make his Premier League debut until April although he made his debut in England in March.
Former England and Chelsea midfielder Lampard, who had taken the lead of the London team earlier in July, had previously said Hudson-Odoi was an important player for his team.
Lampard said, "I'm not going to say things that are pie in the sky but with his [Hudson-Odoi’s] talent, he may be at the center of this team, he may be at the center of England.
"He can show, right here in Chelsea, to the team where he went through the academy, that he will become a world-clbad player – because I really believe him."
