The first victim of Love Island 2019, Callum Macleod, broke her silence for hours after being the first hope returned from the villa.
During the tense recoupling of Friday night, Callum, 28, was left to the last man standing with each of the ladies taking turns to choose their next partner.
After finding himself without a companion, Callum was forced to leave the villa alone, leaving his dream of reality TV in tatters.
The expulsion was particularly painful because Callum had chosen to leave his day job at the highest level to take part in the show where it had lasted only five days.

After returning to Blighty, the former aeronautical engineer spoke to express his feelings about the brutal dumping after finding his cell phone.
While exchanging his trunks for a comfortable pink sweater, Callum addressed to the camera: "Hello everyone, a simple message to tell you that I am back in the UK and that I have recovered my phone.
"Thank you very much for all the support, all the messages I read and all the comments I really appreciate.
"I can not literally thank you enough," he added gratefully.

Since leaving the island, Callum's friends have come together to share supportive messages by telling him, "Good guys never win."
Many positive messages have been rebroadcast on Callum's official Instagram page.
"Who needs a TV show to find love when we look like him and who's really a good guy," said one of them.
"Beyond pride in you … they did not leave a chance," added another of Callum's friends at home.
While a third wrote: "The good ones never win."
Lucie Donland said: "Love Island has lost the kindest guy in the villa."

Callum left the series after the loss of his partner Amber Gill, due to Anton Danyluk, at the first reconciliation of the new series. Today, he is not only looking for love, he is also looking for a job.
"Addressing the Sun, Callum revealed that he" had to hand me my opinion, "although he was convinced that he could apply elsewhere" now that I have my job and my learning. "
He had initially requested a sabbatical from his role, which he pursued in the villa but was refused.
Callum said that it was "a very difficult decision but that you only have one life" and that he "left on good terms".

Fearful of not being able to travel to the Love Island Finals, Callum had previously admitted that his "long-term plan" was to return to the aviation industry.
This may be the best option for Callum now because it was his second rejection on a TV dating program, having previously failed to impress Celebs Go Dating singletons.
Callum joined the former "faithful" of Love Islander, Georgia, and kitten Atomic Kerry Katona, but the presence of this man was not enough to protect him with one of the female stars.
