Accra, June 12, GNA – Born José Luis Mendes
Lopes (Zezinho) will lead Guinea-Bissau's senior national team
nicknamed "African Wild Dog" as the centerpiece of the continent 2019, after having played
thirty-one (31) games and scored twice in a career in the national team
from September 2010.

Guinea-Bissau makes its second consecutive
appearance at the Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) with its first edition in
2017 and go out in group stage, so it would take a lot of Zezinho,
which trades with Slovakia on the Senica side.

The 26-year-old midfielder should
show great tenacity and a great fighting spirit in a team that can not boast of so much
fancy names, en route to the 2019 Africa Cup of Nations scheduled in Egypt
from June 21st to July 19th, 2019.

With six other midfielders in the likes of
Sori Mané, Mamadu Tunkara Pelé, Jorge Bura Norgueira, João Jaquité and Moreto
Cbadamá on the final list of the last 23 players of coach Baciro Candé,
Zezinho should prove its value and build on the experience gained
Portugal, Cyprus and Greece.

With a mix of local and some foreigners
the players, Zezinho and his teammates should defend themselves from tough competition
of group F composed of five times Cameroon, four-time winner
Ghana and its compatriots Benin.
