While Burundi, Madagascar, and Mauritania created history by qualifying for their first CAN, the 2012 champions, Zambia, were heartbroken by failing to secure a place in Egypt. Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang's Gabon, Emmanuel Adebayor's Togo and the 2013 finalist, Burkina Faso, do not qualify either.
