There are not many gangsters like Noho Hank (Anthony Carrigan), the character who has conquered fans of HBO Season 1 Barry. If you are going to talk about business – be it smuggling, drug smuggling or murder – it will offer you an underwater sandwich and, at a minimum, a Hawaiian punch.
For Goran Pazar, the last Chechen leader of Hank, it was the mark of a "soft" criminal. But Hank tackles the issue from another angle: "I'm polite," he tells the ruthless people he meets (including Barry, Bill Hader's) daily.
Regardless of Hank's ranking, it is clear that he had a winning strategy. Goran is dead, Hank is responsible and he has formed a fruitful partnership with Cristobal (Michael Irby) and "super nice" Bolivians. However, the traps of organized crime led Cristobal to diversify during the second season.
If Hank does not pay attention, he may miss the pictures he took with Cristobal. And the nice volleyball matches between Bolivia and Chechnya on sunny afternoons could not be. In short, it's getting harder and harder for Hank to stay positive.
A new trading partner brings out the jealousy at Hank.
In the season two trailer for BarryWe find Noho Hank who feels very good about Operation L.A. and the "true friend and partner" he found in Cristobal. Overall, it seems that Hank has never been so happy.
However, Cristobal, an accomplished innovator and master of the expansion, has already begun to look for another opportunity. This is how we find him negotiating with Esther, the leader of the Burmese crowd who rivals the Bolivian-Chechen alliance.
It goes without saying that Hank is not happy, both from a professional and personal point of view.
The last thing Hank needs is a "keystroke" in his relationship with Cristobal. Yet that's exactly what Esther represents. It seems that Hank's spirit of cooperation and his optimistic approach to gang leader life have limits.
Soon, he brings his ox to Barry, a man who solves all problems permanently.
The dark side of Hank will fight with his naturally sunny disposition.
When we see Hank put on a wig and ask questions about the ladies shorts, you know he wants to chat with Barry. Later, we learn exactly what concerns Hank. In short, he calls the leader of the Burmese gang, who does not meet him.
That's not to say that Hank is beyond staying on the sunny side of life. We find him dancing and asking Barry to join Team Badbad while his crew is training at the target. But a darker Hank stares at the price – kill Esther – and stops the jokes in order to pbad it on to Barry.
"I do not ask you; I tell you, said Hank with a threat. Fans may wonder who this person is, but even with all the refinement (and rejection of the male code), Noho Hank is a criminal who is quite comfortable with homicide.
The genius of Barry This is how the series allows us to forget these things every few episodes.
