Ghana was eliminated from the competition last Saturday
The stranded players and officials of Ghana's under-20 team in Niger are clamoring for help after being ejected from their hotel by the team on Wednesday.
FootballMadeInGhana.com reported the embarrbading situation of the Ghanaian team in Niger on Wednesday after it was ordered the team to leave the hotel to stay there longer.
Ghana was eliminated from the competition on Saturday and is expected to leave Niger on Monday in accordance with CAF regulations.
But only eight players were able to leave Niger on Monday, the other players were looking forward to leaving on Tuesday.
But their hopes were disappointed, as officials failed to prepare for their flight to leave Niger and travel to Ghana.
As a result, the hotel evicted them from their room after the end of their stay in the CAF and without any guarantee of payment from anyone who stayed there.
Thirteen technical team players are still stranded in a camp in Niger, in a state of confusion without knowing when they will leave for Ghana.
Eight players – Ishaku Konda, Ibrahim Fard, Emmanuel Toku, Enock Atta Agyei, Manaf Nurudeen, Michael Baidoo, Sabit Abdulai and Frank Arhin have already left Niger for Ghana and landed at Kotoka International Airport on Monday.
Insiders tell FootballMadeInGhana.com that the players' situation is not only embarrbading, but worrisome as they wander around Niger with their clubs patiently waiting for their return.
FootballMadeInGhana.com understands that the box office for the rest of the players and technique was set for February 18, one day after the tournament final, which means the contingent will have to find ways to survive in Niger for four days.
A source close to the team pleaded anonymous and said: "We have been warned not to speak or to complain."
"Yet we do not know when we are going to leave Niger and go home. We are stuck, "added the source.
The Ghana Federation's Standardization Committee seems to have a hard time organizing national team travel, as the Black Stars have had an even worse fate before and after their CAN 2019 CAN qualifier against Ethiopia in November latest.
While some players arrived in the camp in Kenya two days before the match with Ethiopia, others had to meet the team in Ethiopia one day before the match.
The odd travel arrangements made for the players saw many Black Stars players pbad through Togo before continuing to Ethiopia for the match, leaving many angry and dissatisfied with the treatment.
The Black Satellites seem to suffer the same fate after being forced to leave their camp while others are expelled from their hotel following the poor travel conditions of the NC.
