Thousands of Democratic activists in Hong Kong rallied Tuesday night to mark the 30th anniversary of China's bloody crackdown on Democracy protesters in Beijing's Tiananmen Square. Hong Kong is the only region under Beijing's jurisdiction to hold major public commemorations of the 1989 violence. Hong Kong has a degree of freedom that is not perceived on the continent as a legacy of British rule that has come to an end in 1997.
