Black hammerthe accused has compensated the family in the amount of 50,000 GHC

A father of two who was allegedly abducted by two employees of ASA Savings and Loans in Cape Coast, agreed to settle the case amicably.

Epargne et Loans staff reportedly kidnapped children aged 5 to 7 because their mother had failed to pay a single 50.00 GHC payment to cover 700 GHC debt.

Brilliant Appiah, executive director of Child Rights International, told the defendants that the accused had compensated the family in the amount of 50,000 GHC.

"During the negotiation process, we reached a settlement, so that in this case, both parties agreed to settle the matter amicably, which our client also agreed to."

"At one point, we always wanted to pursue the judicial aspect; but our client won and we settled the deal amicably. Both parties hired our lawyers to conduct the negotiations for which the Savings and Loans company had agreed to compensate the family of 50,000 GHC for the family, especially for the children. "

This development comes after the recent abduction of three girls in Takoradi.

The case of three girls who were kidnapped in 2018 between August and December remains unresolved, with Ghanaian police seeking help from the United States and the United Kingdom to facilitate investigations.

The only suspect arrested, Nigerian Samuel Udoetuk Wills, broke into a prison and escaped. He was later arrested in Nkroful, near Takoradi.

He is currently on trial for escaping from cells but has refused to give the police significant leads for the arrest of his accomplices.

Police are currently under public pressure to pursue this case aggressively, with other kidnappings reported in the country.
