LONDON: Cardiff should announce to FIFA that the € 15 million contract he agreed to pay to Nantes for Emiliano Sala has become "null and void" after his death in a plane crash, announced Monday (March 25th) a report. .
The 28-year-old Argentine striker was killed when the small plane that was carrying him descended into the English Channel on 21 January, two days after the end of his transfer from the French Ligue 1 club.
According to the Daily Telegraph, Sala has signed a contract with Cardiff that was rejected by the Premier League and died before signing a revised contract, adding that there is a dispute about whether to get into business. He had agreed to sign a new agreement.

According to the report, a source close to Cardiff said that the agreement stipulated that the Welsh and French football authorities were to confirm to the two clubs that Sala "was registered as a player of Cardiff City FC and that the international transfer certificate of player had been made public ".
The source said that this did not happen before Sala's death.
"The transfer agreement between Cardiff and Nantes was subject to several conditions," the source told the newspaper.
"If no one was satisfied, the contract would be deemed null and void, without payment due. Nantes proposed this clause. They demanded that the notification requirements be strict."
Nantes would intend to challenge the case of Cardiff, saying that the club had completed the necessary paperwork.
Last month, the club returned its dispute with Cardiff over the transfer to FIFA, the governing body of football.
The British Air Accident Investigation Branch (AAIB) had previously stated that the aircraft carrying Sala, flown by David Ibbotson, did not have a commercial license.
But he said the trip would have been authorized as a "private" flight on which costs are shared between the pilot and the pbadengers.
He added that the base on which Sala was a pbadenger had not been established.
The investigators also stated that since the logbook and the pilot's license were not found, it was unclear whether Ibbotson was allowed to fly at night.
Sala's body was found in the wreckage early last month, but Ibbotson's body was not found.
