If you grew up at the beginning of the year, then Disney Channel Lizzie McGuire it was your jam.
If anything, the first fashion police of our two days was none other than Katherine "Kate" Sanders (Ashlie Brillault), who constantly told Lizzie (Hilary Duff), "You are a dress repeater."
Ouch, a lot!
But that's not why Disney's cult show hits our young girl's heart this week.
Carly Schroeder, who played Melina Bianco (Matt bestie and partner in crime), announced a major news recently. She joined the army!
As she says so well, "serving my country will give more validity to my voice".
Sharing the wonderful news on Instagram, the 28-year-old star wrote: "For 22 years, I have dressed to dress myself up." Adding: "It's exciting and all, but in January, I decided to raise my right hand and swear in the US Army."
She says that she was "accepted into the OCS (School Candidate School) army."
In another post, she explains why she decided to enlist.
"I swore to join the army in January." The bulk of my training consisted of preparing action roles, she writes. "I'm heading to basic training in April and then, since I graduated and I've pbaded the board, I'll move on to OCS."
Schroeder is not the only one Lizzie McGuire star to take a break from acting. Some of the actors, including Adam Lamberg, Clayton Snyder and Ashlie continued to do other things.

The 31-year-old actress continues to dominate the entertainment industry. In addition to a recurring role in Gossip Girl to play in YoungerDuff reigns supreme on the small screen. In April, she will portray the deceased Sharon Tate in the highly anticipated film The obsession of Sharon Tate.

Famous for playing Gordo (Lizzie's Bizz), Lamberg has only played two roles in the Disney series, When do we eat? and Beautiful loser. In 2014, he worked in New York as a developing badociate at the Irish Arts Center, agitation reports.

Similar to Lamberg, the blond beauty keeps a low profile and has remained out of public view. Despite being the queen bee in the Disney show, she has moved on to bigger and better things. MTV reports that she stopped acting and earned her B.A. in Political Science from California State University. She then moved to Colorado, where she would have obtained her law degree and legal certificate.
