Carol Vorderman, 58, presents an elegant display after showing curves

She shocked the fans last week as she walked out of the room to present her new extraordinary curves.

And Carol Vorderman was clearly taken aback by the attention that her incredible physique had attracted, taking on Twitter to share a smiling selfie on Tuesday.

Bursting with self-confidence, the 58-year-old star made a big smile as she posed after wearing a mustard yellow top and snakeskin print pants.

Carol showed her new hairstyle while she was posing for the camera, joined by her barber James Roberts.

She tweeted, "What a nice, funny and talkative day with Hair Master James Roberts @JrHairBeauty and his gorgeous daughters

"I had a scream sitting next to 3 ladies from North Wales who know my very first boyfriend !!! LOLOLOL … little world and a big … "

Carol won a legion of new fans when she was seen wearing high-waisted pants while strutting toward ITV studios earlier this month.

The presenter dropped her jaws into tight clothing, with a bright red top and a shy smile on her way out.

The old Countdown Ideas Box, known for his skill with numbers, became the first person to win the title of the back of the year twice in 2014.

At the time, Carol said, "I am both surprised and flattered to win this award a second time, especially at this stage of my life.

"As I said when I won in 2011, I always thought that there were a lot of people who were happy to see the back of me." It seems now that there is even more than I thought.

The very first award at the back of the year was given to actress Barbara Windsor in 1976, but it was only during Felicity Kendal's victory in 1981 that it became an annual event with a presentation .

While the TV star recently revealed that her 50th birthday was the best decade of her life, she admitted that it was not without difficulties and that she had thought about her depression problems due to fluctuating hormones during menopause.

"I went through the year 2015 and I started to feel really weak," she said on Loose Women. "I found that it had become so weak that it was like a physical pain, it looked like a real depression. Sometimes I thought about how I could stop that feeling.

"Doctors would say that it is an antidepressant. I did not want to go to a doctor. These were almost suicidal thoughts if you like, but I would never have done it because I had children.
