Carrefour SA has appointed Arthur Sadoun, Managing Director of Publicis Groupe SA, as a new director following the resignation of Alexandre Arnault and Nicolas Bazire.
The French grocer said on Tuesday it had appointed Mr. Sadoun as an independent member based on the recommendation of its governance committee.
Mr. Sadoun will remain until the end of Mr. Bazire’s mandate until the end of the general meeting of shareholders which will rule on the 2023 accounts, the company said.
His appointment will be subject to ratification at the next general meeting of Carrefour shareholders, the company said.
