Country singer Carrie Underwood has just welcomed a little boy in the world.
After a difficult year in 2018, Underwood and her husband, Mike Fisher, who are already the parents of their three-year-old son, Isaiah, said their "heart was filled" with love.
They decided to name the newborn Jacob. After giving birth Jan. 21, Carrie announced the news alongside an Instagram message from the smiling father two days later.
She wrote:
Jacob Bryan Fisher entered the world on Monday in the early hours of the morning … his mother, his father and his big brother could not be happier than God trust them to take care of this little miracle!
Our hearts are full, our eyes are tired and our lives are changed forever. Life is Beautiful…
the Jesus take the wheel The singer revealed that she was pregnant last August in a video on Instagram. Pregnancy, she explains, is why her Cry Pretty Tour 360 will not start until May of this year.
She told fans that she was thrilled to add "another little fish" to their "pond":
Mike, Isaiah and I are absolutely thrilled and happy to add another small fish to our pond. It was a dream come true with the album and with baby news and all that.
We are so excited and happy that you can share this and be part of it.
Last September, the country superstar who became known as the winner of the fourth season of American idol in 2005 spoke frankly with CBS Sunday morning about her pregnancies and trying to become a mother.
Underwood said she had three miscarriages in two years before becoming pregnant with her second child.
In the emotional interview, she recalled:
The year 2017 was not what I had imagined. I had expected that 2017 would be the year I would work on new music and that I would have a baby. We are pregnant early 2017 and we have not worked.
And that was it, at first it was: "OK, God, we know it's, it was not your timing. And it's okay. We will bounce back and find our way through.
And I got pregnant again in the spring, and it did not work. Pregnant again, early 2018. It did not work. So, at that time, it was a bit like, "OK, like, what is the agreement? What is all this? '
She then recalled how scared she was during her pregnancy with Isiah of having lost her, but Underwood said that she had found solace in writing new music.
She continued:
And all through the process, you know, I write and, literally, just after learning that I'm losing a baby, I'll have a writing session, I'll be like, "Let's go. You know, I can not sit and think about that.
Like, I want to work, I want to do that because I would literally have those horrible things in my life, and then I had to smile and do some interviews or do a photo shoot or something, do you know? So it was a little therapeutic, I guess.
Congratulations to Carrie and Mike!
