Context

An audio leak supposed to be the voice of the national president of the NDC, caused a shock wave among the public after it became viral nearly a month ago.

The leak, which would come from a meeting held at the NDC headquarters a few days after the infamous violence in the by-election of Ayawaso West Wuogon, seizes influential members of the opposition party who would have planned the strategies that he will use to regain power in 2020.

Mr Ofosu-Ampofo, who could be heard from some of the party members unequivocally, said the NDC would target the lives of NPP members by 2020, as state security can not protect them.

According to him, another tricky aspect to winning the 2020 elections concerns EC President Jean Mensa.

"We have to wage an unrelenting war against this EC President, she does not want to see my face …" he said at the party.
