CE meets Mahama today | Policy

With the exception of some last minute misses, the Electoral Commission (EC) meets former President John Mahama.

The meeting is scheduled to take place around 11:00 in his office located east of Cantonments, near Captain Hooks.

It is part of the Commission's engagement with key stakeholders, which has already met with former Presidents Jerry John Rawlings and John A. Kufuor.

We do not know what Mr. Mahama's heart has to say to the head of the European Commission, Jean Mensa and his deputies.

But it would not be surprising to hear him relaunch the issue of presidential vote fraud in the 2016 presidential election, which he lamentably lost to the leader of the opposition and the today President, Nana Akufo-Addo.

In May 2019, Mr. Mahama observed that
the rigging process was facilitated by "the use of computer in the transmission of results and the possibility of hacking".

He formulated the allegations regarding the seminar of distinguished lecturers Said Business School organized by the University of Oxford in 2016 and organized in collaboration with the Center for African Studies and the Oxford Africa Business Alliance.

Mr. Mahama is a candidate for the presidential election of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) for the 2020 elections.
