John Dumelo is an actor
Actor John Dumelo sent a message of caution to politicians and their supporters that they stop victimizing celebrities for supporting political parties.
According to Mr. Dumelo, Ghana practices democracy and so celebrities have the right to support the ideologies of any political party that they deem useful.
John Dumelo made it clear when he participated in the show Dining with Cooks and Braggarts, presented by Yvonne Okoro.
He revealed that his support for the National Democratic Congress (NDC) had earned him several cases of abuse.
John Dumelo, who was tipped to run in the 2020 legislative elections, said it was high time for politicians and their supporters to realize that there was freedom of badociation and that celebrities had the "right to choose and to badociate" as prescribed by the constitution.
It will be remembered that John Dumelo was subjected to national shame when the New Patriotic Party (NPP) government took a V8 that was allegedly "stolen" from the state.
