Nana Appiah Mensah, aka NAM1, is expected to arrive in Accra this Wednesday, July 11, at 11 am, by Emirates Airlines after months of wrongful incarceration in Dubai, United Arab Emirates, looking for her company funds in December 2018.
His lawyer, Kwame Akuffo, confirmed the arrival of Nana Appiah Mensah today during a brief conversation with Graphic Online, but said he was unable to discuss the circumstances of his arrival.
CID police sources also confirmed that security agents would accompany him to court to be remanded pending investigation of the alleged offenses.
Mr. Akuffo stated that he was not aware of such arrangements.
Just last week, a Dubai court ordered Horizon Royal Diamonds to pay, within three weeks, $ 39 million or more in compensation for the wrongful imprisonment of NAM1 as a result of A commercial agreement between Menzgold and Horizon Royal.
This order followed an unsuccessful call from Horizon against an earlier decision of the High Court to pay NAM1 its due for the supply of gold.
Thousands of Menzgold customers whose investments have been blocked after the revocation of its activities are eagerly awaiting Horizon to fulfill its obligations to enable them to receive their funds.
