The celebration of Black Panther's seven Oscar nominations – including one for best film – continues, and now the star of the film, Chadwick Boseman, expresses his gratitude for the film's historic achievement.
Boseman posted a message on Twitter that begins by recognizing: "We have just made history." He then wrote: "What an incredible honor.Thank you to @TheAcademy and congratulations to all my family @theblackpanther!" Boseman also included an image of himself as the main character of the film turning into a cover for Weekly entertainmentThe Oscar number, which features the Black Panther mask with a bow tie.

Black Panther is the first superhero movie to win an Oscar nomination for Best Picture. The Academy's decision to extend the Best Film field to a maximum of 10 candidates is expected to be based on: The black KnightThe failure to win a nomination ten years ago. Since then, however, no superhero movie has so far broken the category.

In addition to the best movie, Black Panther also got nominations for the original score, the original song, the sound mix, the sound editing, the costume design and the production design.
The winners of the 91st Academy Awards will be presented on Sunday, February 24 at a ceremony broadcast live on ABC.
