Charlotte Rampling joins Denis Villeneuve's actors Dune

Arrival the director Denis Villeneuve has just added another phenomenal actor to the distribution of his dune movie. By The Hollywood journalist, the legendary actress Charlotte Rampling (Dexter, red sparrow(many other things going back to the 60s) will take on the role of Reverend Mother Gaius Helen Mohiam, a powerful revealer of Bene Gesserit's truth.

An old woman dressed in a black aba dress with a hood dropped on her forehead detached herself from the Emperor's suite and took a seat behind the throne, a lean hand resting on the back of quartz. Her face resembled a witch caricature: cheeks and sunken eyes, an elongated nose, marbled skin and prominent veins.

The Reverend Mother directs the chapter room of the Bene Gesserit and is part of the personal suite of the emperor. She is very powerful, has blue-blue eyes of someone who has a mixture addiction (Spice) and often uses her powers to control others through emotional manipulation and voice. If I had to choose an actress to play this role, Charlotte Rampling would be my first and only choice.

Rampling will join Stellan Skarsgård as Baron Harkonnen, Dave Bautista as Glossu "the Beast" Rabban Harkonnen, Rebecca Ferguson as Lady Jessica and Timothée Chalamet as Paul Atreides.

Villeneuve dune movie will cover the first half of the first dune novel, when the house Atreides arrives at Arrakis and is betrayed by a close family. There is a lot going on at that time, and it is extremely important for Villeneuve that every character – and the planet Dune itself – is perfectly adapted. If Villeneuve follows Herbert's detailed model, the film should turn out well.
