    CMPD: A man shot dead at transit center in downtown Charlotte



CHARLOTTE, N.C. Police are investigating a person who was shot and wounded Wednesday morning at the transit center in downtown Charlotte.

The shooting occurred just before 11 am on East Trade Street.

The inspectors said that the bullet hit the victim's arm and that he was not seriously injured.

The investigators told Channel 9 that the shooter and the victim were fighting when the gunman pulled his gun, fired at the man and then escaped.




Channel 9 spoke to a pbadenger who said that he was getting on the bus daily. He said that this incident has put his guard.

"Maybe a fight or two or a fight, do not shoot to kill. This is unusual, "said pbadenger James Young. "It's annoying. It's happening so much, our people do not care about each other.
