Che Adams, Teemu Pukki and Billy Sharp have been nominated for the title of Player of the season 2018/19.

The trio occupy the top three places in the Sky Bet Championship scorers' table, finding the net of the net 67 times between them until now this campaign.

Adams has 21 goals for Birmingham this season, comfortably beating his previous record of 11 for Sheffield United in the 2015/16 campaign.

Pukki had a prolific first season with Norwich, with 24 goals helping the Canary Islands to top the table.

Sharp's 22 goals helped Sheffield United to finish second. The 33-year-old also became the leading scorer in the history of EFL when he scored his 220th goal earlier this season.

EFL also announced the nominees for the young player of the season. The award covers all three divisions and will be contested by Derby winger Harry Wilson, Lutons defenseman James Justin and Norwich defender Max Aarons.

The three contenders for Season 1 of the season are John Marquis of Doncaster, James Collins of Luton and Aiden McGeady of Sunderland.

The three players selected for the Ligue 2 award are Bury midfielders Danny Mayor and Jay O 'striker Shea and Tranmere James Norwood.
