The National Democratic Congress (NDC), an opposition party, held a vote for aspiring presidential primary candidates.
The ballot paves the way for aspirants to officially start their campaigns.

See the order in which the candidates will appear on the ballot below;

Meanwhile, the party announced that it would announce the date of its primaries after communicating to the High Court the rulings it would take in the amicable settlement on the dispute of the province. ;election.

On December 18, 2018, two of its members, Abdallah Issah and James Kafu Nartey-Oman, obtained a Primary Order for certain aspects of the proposed guidelines.

They therefore asked the High Court to declare that the published guidelines for the conduct of the primary school in 2019 were null and void, ultra vires under the 1992 NDC constitution.

They also requested that the procedure adopted by the Party, through the National Executive Committee for the preparation and presentation of the guidelines, and the amendments without prior consultation of the National Council of Wise Persons be declared illegal.

The parties subsequently reached an amicable agreement on 14 January.
