In a letter dated August 11, 2021 and addressed to Mr. Kwabena Boadu Oku-Afari, Director General of the Ministry of Health in Accra, Sheikh Al Maktoum indicated that no funds had been drawn under the letter of credit that had expired on June 2021.
Sheikh Al Maktoum, according to the letter, was therefore awaiting a payment receipt once the funds were transferred to the Ghanaian government bank account.
Reimbursement of money for unsupplied Sputnik V COVID-19 vaccines has been requested by the health ministry on the basis of directives from the ad hoc parliamentary committee on health, after its investigations revealed that the minister of Health had violated the laws. on purchases.
