CHelsea has banned for life the supporter accused of shouting racist violence against Raheem Sterling last season.

Colin Wing, who claimed to have been to Stamford Bridge for 50 years, denied the racist character of his actions and was exempt from any criminal action by the Crown Attorney.

But after conducting their own investigation, which included recruiting two lip-reading experts, Chelsea banned Wing for life and temporarily five other supporters for their behavior during the match on Dec. 8 last year.

The five supporters who have been banned for one to two years have agreed to take training courses and have agreements on their future behavior.

A statement from Chelsea said: "The Chelsea Football Club imposed sanctions on six people for their behavior during our match against Manchester City at Stamford Bridge on December 8, 2018.

The club was slow in making decisions in these cases to ensure that it did not undermine the related police investigation.
