Chelsea goaltender Rob Green announces retirement after Europa League win

Chelsea goalkeeper Rob Green announced his retirement after winning the Europa League against Arsenal.

Green retires at the age of 39 after 23 years between posts, after representing Norwich, West Ham, QPR, Leeds, Huddersfield and Chelsea.

The goalkeeper was also selected 12 times for England and represented the Three Lions at the 2010 World Cup.

In announcing his retirement on social networks, Green wrote: "After an amazing evening in Baku on Wednesday and after 23 years of career spanning three decades, I decided that the time had come to dawn. announce my retirement from professional football.
