Marina Granovskaia, transfer guru to Chelsea, has given the green light to hire Gonzalo Higuain on loan from Juventus until the end of the season.
The Blues will pay her salary of £ 170,000 a week and they have the option to extend the 12-month deal this summer.
At age 31, Higuain's best days are behind him and Sheth thinks it's only a short-term fix.
He thinks Chelsea is now looking for a permanent successor who can become his main man for years.
"Higuain, we know from the beginning, was Sarri's choice and this deal, if you look at logistics, it works for everyone," he told the Transfer Talk podcast.
"Sarri has his man, Chelsea is not engaged in a long-term contract at a high price, so we minimize the risks, but other than that, the contract with Higuain is something that Sarri has long wanted.
"Despite Granovskaia's reserves, I think everyone wins."
"At the end of the season, if he gets a terrifying performance, this is just an option to extend the 12-month loan.
"So, whatever the borrowing costs, you have to pay a permanent transfer fee for it.
"You can be sure that Chelsea is currently exploring the market looking for a long-term solution to their attacker problems.Maybe not this month, but for the summer, it's certain. "
Boss Sarri was upset by Chelsea's refusal to offer his more than 30-year-olds – David Luiz and Cesc Fabregas – a contract of more than a year.
Fabregas is now gone to Monaco, but Sheth does not think that Higuain's signature will prompt a sudden change in the transfer policy.
"People call it a policy change, I do not think it's a policy change because they have hired players over 30," he said.
"Not a lot, certainly, but Olivier Giroud and Samuel Eto & o have made their entry.
"It's very interesting to see what's going on in Chelsea right now.
"The agreement with Higuain seems to indicate that a compromise was reached between Maurizio Sarri and the Chelsea board, including Marina Granovskaia.
"Make no mistake, reservations were expressed about the presence of a 31-year-old Granovskaya, particularly because of its resale value.
"Chelsea's policy is normally to bring in younger players and if they want to sell them, try to make a profit."
