Barcelona is reportedly preparing a bid of 30 million pounds for Willian as the La Liga champions attempt to sign the Chelsea striker.

Brazilian international Willian was strongly linked to the move to Nou camp during the January transfer slot and Barca revived his interest before the summer.

Willian, 30, has played regularly for Chelsea since his signing by Anzhi Makhachkala five years ago and played a role in two Premier League wins.

But there remains only one full season to winger for his current contract with Chelsea and still needs to agree on an extension.

Barcelona thinks Chelsea could sell Willian this summer rather than losing it for nothing in 12 months, at the end of his contract.

The Spanish giants, who won last week another title in the Liga, have identified Willian as the main target and hope to get his signature for £ 30 million, according to The Sun.

Barcelona has one foot in the Champions League final after beating Liverpool 3-0 in the semi-final first leg hunt.

For its part, Chelsea is well placed to play in the final of the Europa League after the 1-1 draw on Thursday against Eintracht Frankfurt in Germany.

After the match, Maurizio Sarri, boss of the Blues, said: "I am very happy with the performance but not the result.

'After 25 minutes, we started playing. We played very well for 35 minutes in the second half. So I think we deserved the win, but 1-1 on the outside is not that bad.

"I think we deserved a second goal, we had three or four chances, we could have scored more.

"We must be careful [in the second leg]. We must play with the same mentality. They are very dangerous especially with Jovic. They are dynamic and very aggressive. "
