Chelsea News: Chelsea establishes a list of two candidates to replace Maurizio Sarri as manager

According to Chelsea, Zinedine Zidane and Frank Lampard would be the main candidates to replace Maurizio Sarri if the Italian was fired, according to Sky Sports.

Club officials reportedly had talks on Tuesday after Chelsea's last defeat: a 2-0 home defeat against Manchester United in the FA Cup on Monday night.

During this match, Chelsea fans chanted "f *** Sarri-ball" in reference to the style of play of the team under the Italian, while complaining of its replacements, become easy to predict in recent weeks.

While Chelsea have lost three of their last four Premier League matches, including a 6-0 loss to Manchester City last time, Chelsea's board would review Sarri's position and consider options elsewhere.

The first two of the group have a very different experience in the canoe with Zidane, three-time Champions League winner with Real Madrid and Lampard, in his first season as manager of the Derby County championship club.

Zidane helped Real Madrid win the La Liga title in 2016-17 and remarkably lifted the Champions League in each of their three seasons before retiring shortly after Liverpool's 3-1 win last season finally.

The Frenchman has certainly accomplished more in management than Lampard so far, but the Chelsea legend has had a promising start as a coach, yet Bring Derby County to fight over the roadblocks.

Lampard is one of the most decorated players in Chelsea history. He won 11 major trophies and became the club's top scorer with 211 during his 13-year stint at Stamford Bridge. Despite his inexperience, his appointment would be well received by his supporters.

Sarri had a good start at Stamford Bridge, leading Chelsea to an undefeated 18-game series before losing to the Spurs in November, but since then the results have been uneven and the team's performance has been sharply criticized.

The Italian has also criticized his team, blaming his players for lack of motivation following the defeat 4-0 against Bournemouth last month and qualifying their display of second half against United "confusing".
