The Argentine international has been hailed by his former captain of AC Milan although he has not managed to outdo himself in San Siro
Gonzalo Higuain may have struggled in AC Milan, but his former Rossoneri team-mate Alessio Romagnoli believes the Chelsea striker is the best in the world.
Higuain has scored six league goals during the first half of the Serie A season, but his form over those 15 matches has often been criticized by the Argentine striker.
The 31-year-old exchanged Italy against England last month after Chelsea signed a loan agreement with parent club Juventus, allowing Milan to leave the striker after accepting the transfer from Krzysztof Piatek of Genoa.

After failing to score in his first two games with Chelsea, Higuain seemed defeated by Huddersfield Town, who scored twice in the 5-0 win over the Terriers on Saturday.
And Romagnoli, the captain of Milan, confessed that he was sad to see the former striker of Real Madrid and Naples leave San Siro, describing him as one of the best.
"I still think he's the best striker in the world," said the defender, quoted by Calciomercato .
"I'm sorry that he decided to leave, but we respect his decision – he's one of my friends and he's happy, I'm fine.
"Now we have other players who will not make us regret his departure."
The other player he is referring to is Piatek, the Polish striker who had a great start to life in Milan with three goals in as many matches in all competitions.
"We like having it [Piatek] here and we hope he can continue to score at least one goal per game, "he added.
