Manchester City playmaker Kevin De Bruyne praised Chelsea's N'Golo Kante for winning the world's highest work rate.
Kante has been imposed as one of the best defensive world football midfielder in recent seasons. He first excelled for Leicester City before joining Chelsea in 2016.
The 28-year-old was hailed for his role in the Leicester and Chelsea title wins in 2016 and 2017 respectively, as well as for France's World Cup victory in Russia last summer.
De Bruyne has clearly been impressed by Kante's form over the last few seasons and has described the Frenchman as an "aspirant" because of his ability to continuously take possession of his team.
Addressing BT Sport for his "Perfect Player" series, De Bruyne said, "Work rate?" I would say N'Golo Kante. "The things he does, he's amazing, it's a defensive vacuum. . He [the defensive side of the game] is also very important. & # 39;

Little was known about Kante when he joined Leicester from Caen for only 5.6 million pounds more than the 2015-16 season, but his efforts during the historic title victory quickly made him him a well known name.
Kante's defensive appetite came into prominence during his first campaign as he was leading the Premier League standings for wins (175) and interceptions made (156) during this season.
During his first two seasons at Chelsea, Kante played a similar role in the defense under Antonio Conte, but this season he has played in a more advanced position.
Maurizio Sarri used it as a midfielder and Kante scored four goals in all competitions, which marks his best return to goal for a season.
