That's what Craig Burley, an ESPN FC expert, says following comments from Sarri following the Blues' 2-0 defeat against Arsenal on Saturday night.
In a furious speech, Maurizio Sarri – who returned to his country of origin to convey the message as clearly as possible to his players – said he was "extremely angry", explaining that the defeat was due to the "mentality" of his team.
He explained, "This is something I can not accept. We had a similar problem during the championship game in Tottenham (in November). I thought we would have overcome this problem. But it seems that we still have this problem.
"This group of players is extremely difficult to motivate. They do not have this ferocity in their mentality. It depends on the type of players they are, their characteristics. It's something that's hard to change. It could take a long time.
The 60-year-old has sought to implement the style of play that has won major applause with Napoli, although he has missed the Serie A title of Juventus during his three seasons in Naples.
But the Italian tactician has been criticized for his tactics with Chelsea, accused of becoming predictable and devoid of creativity and spark in recent games, having scored only 13 goals in his last 12 games.
The respective disappearances of Mourinho and Conte at Stamford Bridge came after a scramble with the Chelsea locker room, the power of the team player having become infamous.
Still, Burley thinks Sarri is a "fool" and risks losing his job in the next 12 months if he does not want to change his game plan.
The former Chelsea midfielder told ESPN FC: "It will not change system? Man United is now flying and Arsenal hang around.
"Who has to say if he finishes fifth or sixth, [Chelsea owner] Roman Abramovich will not throw him under the bus?
"That's what he's playing with here.
"If he does not realize that he needs to be flexible to save his job, then he's silly – as simple as that."
Former Liverpool defenseman Steve Nicol added, "What worries me is that he's the guy who does not care and does not care about the transfer market or anything else .
"This is the guy who is supposed to work with what he has and who does not say anything.
"I can tell you now that the worrying thing is that most executives – the last resort is to throw players under the bus.
"It's your last resort and he's already thrown it in. It's an absolute red flag."
Chelsea hope to bounce back against Tottenham on Thursday night (19:45), in the return leg of their clash in the semi-finals of the Carabao Cup, in which they will be 1-0 in total.
The Spurs will not have key striker Harry Kane, Son Heung-min and apparently also Dele Alli for the return match, though.
