Chelsea has reached an agreement with Juventus on Maurizio Sarri.

The Italian giants want Sarri to replace Max Allegri after only one season at Stamford Bridge.

Juventus officials have had talks with Chelsea, who is demanding 5 million pounds of compensation before allowing Sarri to return to Italy.

Juve was reluctant to pay for a manager who was about to be fired, but there seems to be a breakthrough.

BBC Sport reports that an agreement has been reached and that an announcement is expected in the coming days

This deal is the key to Frank Lampard's future, with Chelsea making the club legend his number one goal to become his next boss.

Maurizio Sarri must return to Italy

Lampard drove Derby to the play-off final in his only management season at the end of last term and still faces a major decision.

But the lure of a return to Stamford Bridge will probably be too good to be denied by the former English midfielder.

Jamie Redknapp, his cousin and Sky Sports specialist, believes that Lampard is the perfect solution for the blues.

Frank Lampard, County Manager, Derby

"Frank would be the perfect person," he said.

"If that were to change and if they needed a manager next year, they would need someone who will come to stabilize the club."

"They've lost their best player (Eden Hazard) and have an embargo on transfers of two or three windows, so you need someone everyone likes and gives them time."

"It would be interesting, but the fans here would like one of theirs – they never left for an English manager, as far as I can remember.

"I think Frank would be a great choice, but whatever they do, no matter who, even if it's not Frank, they will have to be patient."
