Chelsea is now open for bids for midfielder Tiemoue Bakayoko this summer, after failing to defeat Frank Lampard, reports said.
The Blues spent £ 40 million on Bakayoko to have it signed in Monaco two years ago, but so far it has hardly justified its price. He is now at a major crossroads as he seeks to rejuvenate his career.
The Frenchman was loaned last season to AC Milan, who had the option to buy him for 35 million euros, but due to various uncertainties regarding the Italian giants he is unlikely that they are buying it now.
Bakayoko was apparently ready to stay at Chelsea Next season, the Blues currently have a transfer ban in effect, but the former Monegasque man revealed his ardent desire to join PSG one day, while Parisians showed their interest.
Shock reports earlier in the month then claimed that Manchester United had opened talks with Chelsea about a move to Bakayoko, although this speculation has apparently been downplayed by United sources.
According to a report by The telegraph On Friday, the 24-year-old failed to convince Lampard, Chelsea's new boss, in the pre-season.
As a result, the club is now ready to listen to offers despite its pending transfer ban. They may be willing to accept less than the 35 million euros they have inserted as an option to buy Bakayoko's loan transfer to Milan.
