Chelsea had his first discussions with Frank Lampard on the possibility that the legend of the club succeeds Maurizio Sarri.
The Italian striker behind Chelsea's UEFA Europa League campaign, who has secured a UEFA Champions League qualification, is expected to return to his country after 10 months of turbulence in West London.
